STAPLE is a streetwear brand founded in 1997 in New York by Jeff Staple.

The brand is widely recognized for its iconic pigeon logo, its continuous stream of new ideas, and its numerous collaborations with major industry players. Jeff Staple is a visionary creative, and his brand represents far more than just clothing and footwear. His work is deeply influenced by music, art, and street culture, shaping STAPLE into one of the most respected names in global streetwear today.

Jeff Staple is not only a graphic and fashion designer but also a podcaster, lecturer, and educator who engages in various creative projects. While studying journalism in New York, he took a part-time job at a company where he was introduced to graphic design. This experience led him to drop out and enroll at Parsons School of Design, where he pursued communication design. During his studies, he experimented with screen printing and unknowingly set the foundation for his career. One day in 1997, he walked into a small New York boutique wearing one of his own printed shirts. The store owner took notice and placed an order for 12 pieces, marking the official birth of the STAPLE brand.

Staple initially launched as a handmade T-shirt brand, but it quickly gained recognition. In 2005, STAPLE had its breakthrough collaboration with Nike, releasing the STAPLE x Nike Dunk Pro Low SB "NYC Pigeon." The sneaker, designed to represent New York City, was produced in extremely limited quantities and sparked massive hype upon release. This moment not only catapulted Jeff Staple into the global sneaker and fashion industry but also played a crucial role in shaping modern sneaker culture.

In addition to his fashion brand, Jeff Staple expanded his creative influence by founding Staple Design, now known as REED ART DEPARTMENT, in 1997. This creative agency, based in New York, has collaborated with brands such as Nike, Sony, and Microsoft, focusing on brand consulting, graphic design, and fashion collaborations. In 2001, Staple launched REED SPACE, a lifestyle boutique and concept store in the Lower East Side of New York, which combined retail with an art gallery and became an influential hub for streetwear and design.
