The brand's styles are characterized by their minimalism and the bright and eye-catching colors at the same time. The cuts are simple and elegant and the large prints reflect graphic designer Da Silva. According to his own statements, he tries to incorporate his inspirations, which he finds in artists, singers or current trends, into the designs. Arte's designs should go beyond the borders of fashion, combine various arts and also inspire other artists. The designer also cites hip-hop music and rappers such as Drake or Jay-Z as sources of inspiration.
Arte Antwerp releases two ready-to-wear collections a year. As part of the latest Spring Summer 2022 collection, Da Silva incorporates modern art into his designs and contrasts organic forms with geometric and futuristic designs. This artistic aspect can be found in all collections and that is what makes Arte Antwerp stand out. Wide shirts, longsleeves and sweatshirts form the basis of the collections. Many pieces have the simple Arte logo with a small heart, while other shirts are printed with large graphics. Da Silva once said in an interview that although he is a big fan of the saying “less is more,” it can also quickly become boring. He therefore integrates bright colors and unusual patterns and reinvents himself in every collection. In 2019, Arte collaborated with Swiss rapper SLIMKA, among others, and designed its own jewelry collection together with Studio Collect.
Arte Antwerp combines the sportswear aesthetics known from the streetwear industry with visual art and creates exclusive pieces with a special character. As a result, the brand also offers designers from a wide range of areas of art the opportunity to exchange ideas and inspire each other.
