The series kicks off with an exclusive collaboration with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen — and a special reissue: the GEL-CUMULUS 16 SSCB.

The silhouette originally debuted in 2014 and now returns in a refined design that blends comfort with a sense of nostalgia.

The GEL-CUMULUS 16 SSCB offers a feminine reinterpretation of ASICS’ technical running archive.

Cecilie Bahnsen’s signature style comes through in three elegant versions, featuring floral prints, semi-transparent mesh layers, and a custom-designed Blossom Toggle on the laces.

“In designing this shoe, we wanted to explore the juxtaposition of femininity and masculinity,” says Cecilie Bahnsen. “We used softly transparent materials and delicate floral motifs against a robust silhouette, playing with contrasts of shiny and matte, softness and structure, light and shadow. The inspiration came from flowers casting faint shadows in pale sunlight — a subtle, romantic visual we tried to capture through layering and texture.”

The central theme of the collaboration is the motto “All Day, Every Day” — Cecilie Bahnsen’s personal interpretation of ASICS’ philosophy Sound Mind, Sound Body.

Whether she’s cycling through the streets of Copenhagen or immersed in the creative process at her studio, well-being is a natural part of everyday life for Bahnsen.

This feeling is also reflected in the construction of the GEL-CUMULUS 16 SSCB: featuring GEL technology in the forefoot and rearfoot, FLYTEFOAM PROPEL cushioning, and a TRUSSTIC support unit, the sneaker delivers reliable comfort — all day long.
