After the Vans Authentic and the Era, the Vans Old Skool was first introduced in 1977 under the name “Style 36". It was the first Vans shoe to feature the now famous side stripes, also known as the “Jazz Stripe.”

The Vans Knu Skool has reinterpreted the classic Old Skool for a younger generation.

For the first part of the “Old Meets Knu” campaign, Vans brought skateboarding legend Tony Alva and team rider Breana Geering on board, both of whom represent the history and development of Old Skool and Knu Skool.
