Today, Underpressure in Hamburg is not only a fixture of the Schanze, but also one of Germany’s early independent stores of its kind - a place that has not only accompanied Hamburg’s creative scene over the years, but helped shape it.

Underpressure was founded in a small shop in the Karoviertel district of St. Pauli. Today, the store calls Schanze home, just a few streets away, and remains deeply rooted in the part of Hamburg where streetwear, graffiti, music and the city’s creative scene have been coming together for decades.

Between streetwear, sneakers, vinyl, spray cans, markers, graffiti accessories, Apparel and selected toys, Underpressure curates a product range that feels less like classic retail and more like a subculture that has grown over time.

The store’s roots run deep in the graffiti scene. This is reflected not only in the product range, but also in its overall attitude.
At Underpressure, graffiti is not a decorative reference. It is part of the store’s own history. Spray cans and accessories are just as integral here as Footwear, Apparel and music.
