Bella Newman’s FW25 campaign, shot in infrared, renders the world in black and white — revealing what usually remains unseen.

Shot in the swamps and cave systems of the southern Appalachian Mountains — stretching from Alabama to Cave Spring, Georgia — the campaign follows a cast of characters who are at once hunters and the hunted.

‍

Pursued by an invisible being whose vision pierces the visible spectrum, the landscape transforms into something otherworldly.

Skin turns to clay, eyes become voids, veins surface like roots under pressure. Infrared — a technology that reveals both the future and the past.

‍

‍

With this altered perception, ROA introduces a collection shaped by transformation. Fall Winter 2025 merges the performance DNA of alpine gear with urban, adaptable silhouettes.

‍

The outerwear leans oversized and modular, with boxy jackets, expandable backs for backpacks, packable volumes, and adjustable hems and hoods.

‍

‍

‍

In contrast, slim ergonomic silhouettes — compression leggings, mesh dresses, and knit tops — wrap the body like armor. Functionality runs through every detail: thumbholes, laser-cut ventilation, seamless knits, and double-layered knee panels.

‍

The materials reinforce this hybrid identity. Organic cotton and solvent-free waterproofing meet traditional craft elements: mohair mélanges, twisted knits, and Fair Isle techniques reinterpreted for performance.

‍

Different textures collide — shiny micro-ripstop puffers, matte flannels, and tactile fleece — while the color palette draws from alpine landscapes: glacier blue, moss green, earth brown, and stone gray.

‍

‍

ROA FW25 is a study of the thresholds between hunter and hunted, visibility and camouflage, nature and artifice. In the stark visual language of thermography — where life reveals itself through heat — ROA envisions a future of outdoor performance that exists beyond the edge of perception.
