Reebok Europe is proud to announce the premiere of Break'in Through, a documentary by Nowness. The film takes a look at the dynamic world of French break dancing and accompanies the Breakin Kids, a breakdancing crew from Toulouse, led by their mentor and multiple world champion Abdel Chouari.

These young dancers train hard to defend their world champion title and find in their art a retreat and an opportunity to express themselves.

In the words of Abdel Chouari: “Breaking saved me, educated me, and allowed me to start from the very bottom to reach the top. It is my duty to transmit this heritage to the younger generations. ”

Reebok Europe has been supporting this initiative since 2022, helping to renovate the school in Toulouse and get the crew involved in global projects.

The brand provides these young talents with a platform for their products and donations, thus reaffirming their commitment to promoting future generations of dancers.

“We are proud to stand by the Breakin Kids and support them in their incredible journey. The Reebok brand, its DNA, lives at the  intersection of sport and culture;  the world of breaking embodies at best this philosophy.  We are truly inspired by the passion, the commitment and the energy that these athletes bring into their sport and the energy they share with the larger community around them...

...We are thrilled to support and see them enjoy this much deserved moment of attention as they will perform in the sport world stage in Paris,” says Cristiano Fagnani, CEO of NGGH++, Reebok's Europe-wide partner.

Director Cyprien Clément-Delmas captures the intensive training, camaraderie and goals of the Breakin Kids and reflects their passion and perseverance.

“I am pleased that urban culture is being more recognized,” comments Clément-Delmas. “It was heartwarming to see the kids making jokes with the team and showing themselves so open-hearted to our cameras — I have great respect for what they've achieved.”

The premiere of the documentary took place in Paris last Friday. Hundreds of people from the hip hop scene and the break dance community gathered to celebrate the Breakin Kids and see a unique performance from them.
