The future is today, as PUMA and Coperni are taking shoe design into unexplored territory and redefining the limits of technology-driven fashion. Inspired by PUMA's FUTURE soccer boot and high-tech innovations, as well as elements of movement and brutalist architecture, the partnership looks beyond the past and present into the future.
The resulting design is more than just a concept, it is a futuristic statement that remains absolutely wearable. “We are very proud of this collaboration with PUMA. It is a huge milestone for a designer to launch their first sneaker. The 90SQR combines all of our shared values: innovation, minimalism, uniqueness.
It's everything we've dreamed of and we're looking forward to launching more PUMA x Coperni models in the near future,” said Coperni founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant.
The visionary PUMA x Coperni 90SQR is a hybrid creation developed according to the specifications of a performance soccer boot.
The design, which is characterized by its structural look, is firmly anchored in two worlds and represents a new border between sport and fashion. The 90SQR is available in three color options — White, Asphalt and Mad Yellow — each with welded seams on a mesh base.
The radical design is a tactile symphony of textiles and details, with Coperni branding on the heel and co-branding on the tips.
The Global Creative Director of PUMA, Heiko Desens, explains: “In terms of material, it is a pure performance model. We followed the material specifications of performance models very closely.
The square toe is the strongest design feature that sets it apart from the world of sports, as it is a popular shape found in high-fashion shoes.
“The accompanying campaign images were photographed by artist Paul Kooiker and evoke elegance in movement, while PUMA and Coperni's 90SQR design is shown in its diversity.
The pictures show the geometric, structural beauty of the shoe in addition to the natural contours of the human body. The PUMA x Coperni 90SQR will be available from VooStore. Also keep an eye on our Sneaker Releases.
