Nike and Patta are reuniting with the Nike x Patta Running Team Capsule, a tribute to togetherness, culture and performance.
More than just a collection of clothing and shoes, the collab is a testament to the shared quest for greatness and inspires athletes of all ages and backgrounds to conquer their place in the running world.
The product line embodies Nike and Patta's unique attitude, which balances performance running and upscale lifestyle while encouraging the next generation of runners to reach their full potential and recognize those who have started their activities.
This is at the heart of the Patta Running Team's mission: To inspire athletes with different backgrounds and ambitions to come together as a group, help each other cross the finish line, see new places and — most importantly — have fun.
“Patta Running Team was born from a desire to connect with like-minded individuals around the world through the universal language of running,” says Patta cofounder Edson Sabajo, who started the team in Amsterdam in 2010.
“It’s about discovering new places, forging new connections and embracing freedom. Running transcends borders. Because when you run, your mind and spirit are set free to think and dream.”
Highlights of the unisex collection include leggings made from three-color lenticular material and a sturdy varsity jacket made of wool and leather, which is a nod to the achievements and commitment of the Patta Running Team.
Training and running clothes, tops, shorts and a running vest are also included in the capsule collection.
The campaign features Nike runner Sifan Hassan, who represents strength and resilience as a two-time gold medalist for the Netherlands.
The collection is completed by a new Air Huarache hybrid sneaker, which is available in three color variants and combines a classic Huarache Plus upper with a Pegasus sole and comes with premium leather overlays, a mesh underlay with bootie construction and a closure system secured with nylon straps.
The “Patta Air” graphic is on the tongue of the shoe, and each pair comes with an individual patta towel in the box.
High-quality, reflective graphics and the running mascot Patta Panther are featured throughout the collection, which will be available at selected Nike partner stores from May 2.
