adidas has announced the release of Pharrell Williams’ highly anticipated VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in a striking orange colorway.

The sneaker is set to launch on August 23 under VIRGINIA – Pharrell’s new creative alias, community platform, and brand.

While deeply rooted in the spirit of his home state, the model is designed to resonate with a global community.

The sneaker is a reimagined take on the adidas Adistar, merging athletic DNA with a sculptural lifestyle design.

It brings together artistic aesthetics, innovative technology, and a playful spirit that reflect Pharrell’s unmistakable style while paying tribute to the classic adidas silhouette.

More than just a sneaker, the Jellyfish exists between land and sea, street and sculpture, function and imagination.

A defining feature is the oversized midsole, inspired by the fluid, floating gills of a jellyfish. A layered mesh upper combined with exoskeletal elements adds movement and futuristic depth, while glow-in-the-dark accents create an almost otherworldly effect.

Paying tribute to marine life, the midsole echoes the movements of a jellyfish, and the logo draws from its distinctive form.

Additional “Jellyfish” details and subtle VIRGINIA branding on the insole and tongue anchor the concept in Pharrell’s creative universe. For Pharrell, VIRGINIA is more than just a place — it’s a mindset.
