New Balance and Concepts are celebrating the 10th anniversary of MADE in USA 998 'C-Notes Only, 'with a special new edition of the classic.
‍
‍
The 998 “C-Note” was originally released on the occasion of the redesign of the hundred-dollar bill in shades of blue on October 8, 2013.

‍
‍
It is reminiscent of the note with its familiar green, which is accentuated by broken whites, bright blue and metallic copper.
‍
‍
He also points to the omnipresence of cash, even in today's increasingly digitalized payment world.
‍
‍
“If there's one thing that hasn't changed in the last 10 years, it's money. The “C-Note” stands for all of us; it is the universal language of exchange.”
‍
‍
“Whether you're “old money or “new money,” you can do something with that. “, says Concepts Creative Director Deon Point.
‍
‍
The slim but edgy 998 silhouette features a classic mesh upper that is complemented by suede overlays, toe guards and heel cap.
‍
‍
The 998 was released in 1993 and was the first shoe equipped with ABZORB cushioning.
‍
‍
This revolutionary cushioning was visually combined with an elegant update to the classic 99X look.
‍
‍
Special features of this version include an embroidered tongue and insole with co-branding, concepts branding on the side heel, and custom packaging.
