After their first collaboration on the Wave Prophecy LS, Mizuno Sportstyle and Japanese label Vainl Archive continue their partnership — this time with a new interpretation of the Wave Rider 10.

The Wave Rider 10 VA builds on the familiar color scheme of the previous collaboration, but reinterprets it with a fresh configuration: instead of just the insole and heel cup, the forefoot, side panels, and heel are now finished in rich Chocolate Brown and Pirate Black tones.

The result is a harmonious look that captures the asphalt glow of city streets at night — seemingly monochrome from afar, yet revealing rich textures up close.

The foundation of the model is the Wave Rider 10, designed by Tuan Lee in 2007 — originally created for runners seeking a cushioned yet responsive ride.
Beneath its premium suede upper lies Mizuno’s signature thermoplastic Wave Technology, delivering a balanced blend of cushioning, stability, and energy return.
