In their first collaboration led by a women’s creative team, Mizuno Sportstyle teams up with Japanese womenswear label SLY for a sleek, all-black reinterpretation of the Wave Rider 10.

Established in 2001 as MOUSSY’s sister brand, SLY has become one of Japan’s most influential womenswear labels, cultivating a young and highly engaged following.

For this collaboration, Mizuno’s iconic silhouette takes on a blacked-out, minimalist aesthetic — clean, functional, and distinctly modern. The result is a sneaker that fuses subtlety with innovation.

Subtle design tweaks bring new energy to the silhouette. Classic laces make way for a quick-lace system secured by a drawcord and metal hardware.

The open mesh upper is framed by synthetic leather overlays, reflective hits, and custom tape detailing on the tongue and heel — finished with dual branding from Mizuno and SLY.

Designed by Tuan Lee in 2007 to celebrate ten years of the Wave Rider line, the Wave Rider 10 was built for runners who value balance — combining responsive cushioning with all-day comfort.
