Running. Volleyball. Fencing. Tennis. These and other sports, which represent Converse's diverse history in the sports landscape, inspire the brand's new flat lifestyle shoe: The Run Star Trainer.
Designed from the ground up for modern life, the Run Star Trainer offers new styling for anyone who values versatility, self-expression and comfort.
The Run Star Trainer draws on almost 20 heritage silhouettes from Converse, which were developed for their respective sports. For example, the familiar gum sole, which dates back to the brand's history in running and athletics. Or the profile that was adopted by Chuck Taylor All Star and continues on the heel.
The Run Star Trainer's five vibrant colors reference historic Converse shoes, and the brand's interpretation of the brand's classic Star Chevron logo inspired the model's final design and logos.
Modern elements are also reflected in the silhouette, such as the star logo on the heel of the Run Star Hike, which was unveiled for the first time in 2019, and the nylon, suede and leather upper offers rich dimensionality. The shoe even borrows from contemporary art forms such as pottery.
This type of exploration has long been an integral part of Converse's work, allowing continuous experimentation with color, fit, material, and proportions. The Run Star Trainer differs from many offers in the Converse range. It synthesizes and modernizes components of the brand DNA and shows the diversity of Converse's sports history.
The Run Star Trainer — designed with a new look at fit, design and style — is part of a range of new Converse products, such as the De Luxe Wedge, Heel and Squared, which offer consumers even more opportunities for self-expression.
The Converse Run Star Trainer will be available from June 18. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Releases.
