The hybrid design is based on GEL-WAHINE II and GEL-NETBURNER IGS II by extending the ASICS stripes and lacing.

The dazzling look of today's Lycra-clad netballers, whether young or old, professional or amateur players, is taken up by the shimmering material that is clearly visible on the upper.

Netball is a team sport, similar to basketball, in which seven players per team play without dribbling.

‍

‍

The goal is to throw the ball through the opponent's basket. Physical contact is severely limited and the game is divided into four quarters of 15 minutes each.

‍

The outer material sits on the classic GEL-KIRIL tooling. The rubber toe cap features a floral traction pattern.

‍

The FLYTEFOAM PROPEL damping provides a new level of aero dynamics. ASICS GEL cushioning is placed in the midsole and helps distribute force upon impact, while the AHARPLUS Heel Plug supports durability for long-term use.

The silhouette is offered in two color combinations - Gunmetal and Mako Blue.

The preference and nostalgia for team sports played online prompted the designers to travel to their country of origin Australia to document the sneaker together with renowned British photographer Rosie Marks in the midst of a diverse and valued group of netballers.

‍

Marks documents the breadth and enthusiasm of netball thousands of kilometers away from the origins of the sport.

ASICS SportStyle x Kiko Kostadinov Gel-Flammae will be released on July 19th at AFEW Store, Asphaltgold and VooStore.
