Following the SL 72 as their first joint release, adidas continues its collaboration with the Bob Marley Foundation with an independent apparel collection.

The collection draws on archival outfits and iconic imagery from Bob Marley’s life, music and cultural DNA.

A central unifying motif is the “Football is Freedom” claim, developed together with the Bob Marley Foundation, complemented by a custom calligraphy “Bob” mark.

The adidas x Bob Marley Collection is an eight-piece off-pitch apparel collection for players and fans.

Created in close collaboration with the Bob Marley Foundation, it draws on archival material and historic garments from Bob Marley’s personal wardrobe, including the purple Firebird Track Pants he wore while touring Europe, reimagined for this release.

Design motifs drawn from Bob Marley’s life and musical work run throughout the collection. A recurring wave pattern, featured across several pieces, stands out in particular, merging the rhythm of his music with the spirit of Jamaica.

The “Football is Freedom” motto is integrated into key pieces such as the yellow Jersey and the Full-Zip Jacket, referencing Marley’s close connection to football and his belief in the sport’s unifying power.

The Trefoil and the “Bob” calligraphy signature create a consistent through-line across the entire collection.

Highlights of the collection

The Football Freedom Jersey arrives in the yellow of the Jamaican flag, featuring the flowing wave motif, “MARLEY” lettering, and the “Football is Freedom” graphic in yellow and emerald green.

The Full-Zip Track Jacket and Track Pants blend classic sportswear with a contemporary fashion approach. The jacket carries the “Football Freedom” graphic across the back and comes in emerald green, paired with purple Track Pants.

The collection is rounded out by a Dress, a T-Shirt, Shorts and Accessories, including green, gold and red striped pieces, red wave-patterned Shorts, two versions of Crew Socks, and a brown-and-white Bowler Bag.

The collection pays tribute to one of music’s most influential figures while spotlighting the work of the Bob Marley Foundation, which supports under-served communities in Jamaica.

Additional Footwear releases will follow in the coming days, including the SL 72 RS, Handball Spezial, Gazelle Indoor and EVO SL.

The adidas x Bob Marley Collection will be released on February 6 and will then be available at the following retailers: 43einhalb, AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN, HHV, Orange Jungle and SupremeStars.
