SpongeBob SquarePants marked its 25th anniversary last year. Now, just in time for the release of the second feature film, adidas Originals teams up with the cult franchise for a two-piece footwear collection.

The Stan Smith Freizeit SpongeBob reimagines SpongeBob’s iconic shoes in signature Three Stripes style.

The upper stays close to the classic Stan Smith, but arrives in black patent leather with a tone-on-tone embossed tongue logo and sits atop a ribbed rubber outsole.

The lace tips reference SpongeBob’s sock design, while a removable Plankton-print sockliner reveals a hidden graphic. Each pair comes in a specially designed pineapple box with an additional boating-license accessory.

The Superstar II Patrick Star channels the personality of SpongeBob’s best friend and brings it to the iconic adidas silhouette.

The premium suede upper comes in full vapour pink, paired with tone-on-tone details and black stripes.

Embroidered tongue linings alternate between designs inspired by some of the show’s most popular episodes.

The look is completed with translucent ocean-graphic outsoles, as well as sockliners and extra laces that reference Patrick Star’s shorts. The pair comes in a custom box designed to resemble the iconic rock Patrick calls home.
