adidas Originals and Bad Bunny continue their collaboration with the Ballerina in a new “Vivid Red” colorway.

The vibrant shade draws inspiration from Puerto Rico’s Flamboyán trees, whose red blossoms signal the beginning of summer in late May and are closely tied to the island’s cultural identity.

The Ballerina first launched in 2025 and quickly became one of adidas Originals’ standout releases, tapping into the growing demand for low-profile, slim silhouettes.

Taking design cues from the adidas Taekwondo, the sneaker combines its athletic roots with a clean, modern shape.

Premium suede overlays on the toe and heel, bungee-cord laces, “Benito” branding near the Three Stripes, and a special sizing label on the exterior echo key details from previous adidas x Bad Bunny releases.

With the “Vivid Red” colorway, the silhouette becomes even more closely connected to Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican roots.

The shoe was worn during his sold-out residency in Puerto Rico and also appeared as part of adidas’ global World Cup campaign, which launched on May 7.

As a result, the Ballerina remains more than just a sneaker release, positioning itself as a culturally charged model at the intersection of music, sport, and Puerto Rican identity.

The adidas Originals x Bad Bunny Ballerina “Vivid Red” releases on May 30 and will be available at select retailers such as AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN and HHV.
