adidas Originals and Avavav continue their collaboration with the Spring/Summer 2026 Collection.

Rather than reinventing their shared design language, Creative Director Beate Skonare Karlsson builds on the existing aesthetic, placing classic silhouettes in a more conceptual context.

The apparel pieces draw on classic sportswear elements, reframing them through optical illusions and sculptural forms.

A cropped Track Top and Track Pant take on an almost sculptural quality, while a form-fitting Base Layer is designed to resemble a Track Top.

This motif has become a recurring element of the collaboration across several seasons.

A Hooded Mini Dress and an off-the-shoulder Hoodie play with proportions, while a T-Shirt, Denim Pants, and Printed Shorts bring new materials, cuts, and perspectives into the sportswear context.

‍

‍

Long Socks, a Sweatband Set, a Double Brim Slashed Cap, and a Leather Sports Bag round out the collection, with the bag appearing this season as the largest version yet of the recurring key piece.

The footwear also continues the play with exaggeration and contradiction. The Avavav Megaride transforms the oversized Moonrubber Megaride from previous seasons into a more stripped-back, raw silhouette.

The Canvas and Suede versions reframe the adidas Megaride for today, featuring mesh inserts in the upper that resemble anatomical shapes and reference Avavav’s signature cut-out caging.

Additionally, the Modified Superstar returns. The sculptural toe cap remains, but this time the silhouette appears in two distinct variations: the Deconstructed Superstar with a soft, collapsible leather upper, and the Shaved Pony Superstar with a faux pony-hair upper that, true to its name, creates a shaved fur effect.

The campaign was photographed by Belgian photographer and long-time Avavav partner Lennert Madou.

His still lifes combine painterly compositions with a slightly off-center, fresh aesthetic, further highlighting the conceptual approach of the collaboration.
