We had already told you about the Forum 84 in the “Grey One/Orbit Grey/Footwear White” colorway in a previous article. adidas released this colorway in both low-top and high-top versions.

The sneaker’s minimalist look is defined by the soft leather upper in a monochromatic color scheme, as well as the elegant suede overlays.
This year, adidas has already treated us to several colorways on the Forum. In addition to the version mentioned here, we were also delighted by the OG “Bright Blue” colorway, among others. Now, the company is releasing the basketball silhouette once again in an OG look (blue/white) as a mid-cut.

First introduced in 1984, the adidas Forum defined the basketball era of the ’80s and was considered the most innovative basketball shoe of its time. Back then, it sold in stores for around $100, which was a fairly high price for shoes at the time.

With the adidas Forum, designer Jacques Chassaing created a shoe that offers every player, regardless of position, maximum comfort and stability. The silhouette incorporates all the technical features needed to best support different positions, playing styles, and physical characteristics.
But the Forum didn’t just leave a lasting impression on the court. The shoe also had a major influence on street style and hip-hop culture in the 1980s.

The hype surrounding this silhouette continues to this day. adidas repeatedly releases the Forum in new colorways. In this case, it’s the original color scheme, but without the “patina look” used earlier this year.

The upper, made of durable leather, is finished in a clean white. In contrast, the collar, as well as elements on the heel and midsole, feature a bold blue.

The adidas Trefoil logo, the three-stripe detail on the side, and the branding on the Velcro strap are all in the same shade.

The ankle area is supported by a removable Velcro strap. Back then, this ensured optimal support and a secure fit, especially during quick movements on the court. It’s a feature that still impresses in everyday wear today and allows for minimal customization.

The reinforced rubber outsole matches the white of the upper. It’s particularly durable and ensures a solid grip.

The adidas Forum Mid in the colorway footwear white/royal blue is available at HHV.
