With the GEL-KINETIC FR, ASICS once again draws on its own running archive from the early 2000s.
The starting point for the new silhouette is the GEL-FRANTIC, whose flat, dynamic design language has been reinterpreted for the GEL-KINETIC FR and combined with the latest technologies.
Visually, the model retains the comparatively slim and low-to-the-ground character of its predecessor, but its more sculpted construction gives it a distinctly modern look.
At the same time, a thicker insole construction is designed to provide additional cushioning and a smoother stride.
Scutoid GEL Pods are incorporated underfoot; according to ASICS, their design is based on findings from gait analysis.
They are designed to absorb the forces generated upon foot strike. The design is complemented by a reinforced TPU cage, which provides the foot with additional stability and support with every step.
The ASICS GEL-KINETIC FR will be released on August 21 and will be available at select retailers such as AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN, HHV, and SUPPA.
