We recently told you about the Nike x Skepta Air Tailwind V in Chrome Blue. Now here’s the follow-up.
With his unique flow and inexhaustible creative repertoire, Skepta has left a lasting impression on the London music scene. He has also infused his aesthetic sensibility into the designs of several Air Max models.
His latest collaboration reimagines another popular style from the golden age of sneakers: the Air Max Tailwind V.
For this model, Skepta drew inspiration from nature. Based on the concept of “creative rebirth”—represented by the butterfly and its metamorphosis—Skepta’s design features a print of artistically rendered butterfly wings,
surrounded by a mesh-like, black structural frame inspired by the Air Max Tailwind V Plus.
The shoe incorporates the eye-catching chrome accents of the Sk Shox, while the subtle shimmer in the heel area evokes Skepta’s thermographic album cover for *Ignorance Is Bliss* from 2019.
The sneaker will be available this weekend at 43einhalb, AFEW-Store, Asphaltgold, and online.
