PUMA x BALENCIAGA Footwear, Apparel & Accessories Collection 2025

The Balenciaga x PUMA collaboration, which is making its debut on the Winter 25 runway, combines Balenciaga's distinctive design language with PUMA's sporting heritage.

Inspired by PUMA's groundbreaking innovations in soccer and motorsport, the collection is at the intersection of technical sportswear and high fashion.

PUMA, founded in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler and based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, is an industry leader with a 75-year history of shaping global sports culture through pioneering shoe models, clothing and accessories.

The Balenciaga x PUMA collab reinterprets the Speedcat sneaker — a model that was originally developed in 1999 with a characteristic flat sole.

‍

In the current version, it is presented in worn suede. The structural elements of the upper material were removed to create a flexible, sock-like fit.

The Balenciaga x PUMA Speedcat Ultrasoft is completed with a cut-off form strip — a reinterpretation of the iconic motif that was first introduced in 1958.

The Balenciaga x PUMA Apparel Collection, made entirely with the company's craftsmanship, includes technical tracksuits made from extra-dry molleton with the Balenciaga lion crest — an homage to authentic soccer warm-up suits.

Tracksuits made from fresh or washed nylon draw on PUMA's archival details from the 90s, while other styles reinterpret brand iconography in new categories — including a shearling “tracksuit” jacket and a suede trompe l'oeil bathrobe lined with brushed, inverted molleton.

Accessories include a co-branded shopper bag made from wrinkled Dyneema — an ultralight material with a tensile strength comparable to Kevlar and is commonly used in kitesurfing, sailing, paragliding and ballistic protective equipment.

The collection is complemented by nylon and cotton drill caps and gloves.

By reinterpreting iconic PUMA models without losing their authenticity, the Balenciaga x PUMA collaboration pays tribute to PUMA's sporting heritage while expanding Balenciaga's creative engagement with sportswear and performance design.
