With the Suede Bloom, PUMA continues the Suede’s new chapter while expanding its Never Not Suede campaign. Following the return of the OG, the latest release shifts the focus to a more playful interpretation of the silhouette while retaining the qualities that have defined the Suede since its inception.

Since its introduction in 1968, the Suede has been defined by its ability to reinvent itself alongside changing times, subcultures, and movements, all without ever losing its distinct character.

The Suede Bloom gives the classic design a distinctly feminine aesthetic.

Pearl details, interchangeable satin laces, and ruffled lace options meet understated colorways, giving the silhouette a softer, more playful look.

The release comes in Powder Pink, Vintage Cream, and Black. It is accompanied by a campaign that explores the interplay between individuality and togetherness.

Playful styling and light, spontaneous looks underline the whimsical character of the Suede Bloom.

The concept interprets “blooming” as both a seasonal shift and a form of personal expression. This idea is reflected in the interchangeable laces, which allow the Suede Bloom to be styled in different ways.

The history of the PUMA Suede dates back to 1968. Its predecessor, the PUMA Crack, was released for the Olympic Games in Mexico City, where it famously appeared on the podium with US track and field athlete Tommie Smith.

In 1973, Walt Frazier put his own spin on the silhouette, creating the Clyde. Later, the shoe became known as the Suede, named after its signature upper material.

With the rise of B-boy and hip-hop culture, the shoe became a staple of the New York City scene. In the UK, the silhouette was also released in the 1980s under the name States, a nod to its popularity in the US.

The PUMA Suede Bloom was released on August 13, 2026, and is available at select retailers. You can find PUMA at AFEW-Store, Asphaltgold, BSTN and SUPPA.
