For the launch of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Y-3 celebrates its roots as the original Uniform of the Streets with a graphic driven selection of garments.
Having debuted during the label’s presentation as it made its triumphant return to the Paris Fashion Week stage earlier this year, Y-3 reclaims its iconic Uniform of the Streets graphic from Spring/Summer 2018
– this time painting over the additional elements with a brushstroke motif to simply leave one essential piece of the story, Y-3.
Self-confident and authentic, this graphic design serves as a statement for the future direction of the brand.
Acknowledging Y-3’s legacy as the first partnership to blend Sportswear and Artisanal Fashion, the Uniform of the Streets capsule draws on the expertise of both adidas and Yohji Yamamoto for its aesthetic language.
Some garments have loose threads that hang down unfinished — an homage to Yohji Yamamoto's 'craft-like approach to design'.
Highlights of the collection include a coach jacket, cargo pants, a blazer and an extended vest. All pieces feature the Uniform of the Streets graphic design as embroidered patches sewn onto the garments.
A knitted vest and a crewneck sweater present the graphic in a woven version.
The first release of Y-3's spring/summer 2025 collection is scheduled for December 1st at selected retailers worldwide. adidas Y-3 is available at AFEW-Store, Asphaltgold, SUPPA and VooStore.
