PUMA celebrates the return of the terrace silhouette Palermo, which pays homage to the coastal capital of the island of Sicily.
‍
‍
After PUMA collaborator and ambassador Dua Lipa teased Palermo OG a few months ago, it is now officially returning.
‍
‍
Steeped in history, this low-top shoe originally made its debut in soccer stadiums in the 1980s, where it was an integral part of the audience.
‍
‍
Puma's 2023 new edition features the original blue and white color scheme of the shoe, complete with a retro T-toe construction, the classic gum sole and the PUMA logo in gold. The Puma logo and cat is placed on the heel.
‍
‍
The Palermo was originally part of a special series of PUMA sneakers that paid homage to some of the most famous European capitals such as London, Oslo and many more.
‍
‍
Palermo is still part of PUMA's storied history and, with its unmistakable DNA, evokes a deep sense of football nostalgia.
‍
‍
As a tribute to the shoe's Sicilian namesake, there are two more color variants in August, which are inspired by Palermo's iconic fruit sellers, known in this country as fruttivendolo (see below).
‍
The PUMA Palermo OG is available at 43einhalb, AFEW Store, Allike, Asphaltgold and SUPPA.
