With the ABZORB 5030, New Balance adds another new lifestyle silhouette to the Grey Days 2026 lineup, combining early 2000s running influences with a distinctly futuristic design language.

The model combines classic New Balance design codes with modern proportions, placing it firmly within the brand’s current generation of progressive tech runners.

A standout feature is the segmented sole unit with prominent ABZORB SBS pods, which not only give the silhouette its technical character but also reinforce its futuristic aesthetic.

The setup is complemented by a sculpted midsole, a padded upper with debossed lines, and a printed “N” logo on the sides.

While many current retro runners lean heavily on archival elements, the ABZORB 5030 takes a distinctly more modern approach.

Cut-outs, flowing transitions, and the more substantial construction give the silhouette an almost conceptual feel without completely losing New Balance’s signature running DNA.

As part of the Grey Days campaign, the model is worn by Jordyn Huitema. The Canadian soccer player has been part of New Balance’s extended athlete and ambassador roster for several years.

The New Balance ABZORB 5030 “Grey Days” releases on May 15 and will be available at the following retailers: AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN, HHV and SUPPA.
