New Balance is pleased to announce the launch of the 990v6 Made in USA. At the same time, the redesigned “Runners Aren't Normal” campaign is debuting.
With simple elegance and genuine utility, the 990 is a mix of modern performance and timeless craftsmanship.
‍
‍
The New Balance Heritage running shoes, especially the 990, have become an integral part of people from all walks of life, from global role models to local legends.
‍
‍
It was originally developed as the best running shoe on the market. That was 40 years ago. Since then, there have been many design updates and more color options.
‍
‍
However, the 990's status in the New Balance running shoe portfolio has never changed. The 990 series is just so good that New Balance almost never stopped producing it.
‍
‍
The updated 990v6 design omits the standard midfoot saddle, so pigskin and synthetic overlays run across the mesh upper from heel to toe.
‍
‍
The biggest leap forward takes place inside. New Balance has given the 990 a midsole with FuelCell for the first time. As a result, not only has the look changed, but performance has also improved.
‍
‍
To celebrate the legacy of New Balance and the democratic roots of the 990 series, the brand is launching a redesigned “Runners Aren't Normal” campaign... viewed through modern glasses.
‍
‍
With a cast that embodies the spirit of the original campaign. There are Action Bronson and New Balance athletes Sydney McLaughlin and Trayvon Bromell. They show the connection between people who wear the shoe for both performance and style reasons.
‍
‍
The 990v6 Made in USA will be available at select retailers starting December 15. Keep an eye on our Sneaker release calendar.
‍
‍
By the way, the 990v6 comes in women's and men's sizes, but also for adolescents, children, toddlers and babies. Here are the official product codes:
