To mark the 35th anniversary of 1500, New Balance presents a special edition of Made in the UK-Classic. In homage to New Balance's continued quest for excellence, the iconic silhouette has been updated with a series of sophisticated updates.
‍
‍
The “Made in the UK” anniversary edition of the 1500 from New Balance refines the iconic original design.
‍
‍
Based on one of the first models, the edition combines high-quality grey nubuck leather and mesh as well as synthetic details with a design that honors tradition and innovation.
‍
‍
The sneaker's insole and shoe box are stylishly decorated with historic 1500 series graphics,
‍
‍
which alludes to the model's original logo. In addition, a typographical memorial with the inscription “35 Years of Excellence” adorns the special edition.
‍
‍
The 1500 attracted a lot of attention when first released, as it was the first running shoe to break the $150 barrier — a clear commitment to quality and innovation.
‍
‍
Over the years, the 1500 series from New Balance has become a figurehead of the “Made in the UK” series.
‍
‍
35 years later, New Balance is celebrating this milestone in craftsmanship and design with the 1500 as a limited-edition “Made in the UK” anniversary edition sneaker.
‍
‍
Starting this month, the new New Balance 1500 will be available in limited quantities at selected retailers. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Releases.
