Launched in 1999, the New Balance 1000 returns with its innovative design and picks up on the aesthetics of the year 2000.
New Balance announces British rapper Dave as a new brand ambassador, joining the growing line-up of talented individuals.
Since the release of his critically acclaimed debut album Psychodrama in 2019, the 25-year-old has been hailed for his bold lyrics and subversive musical style.
In addition to the announcement, Dave is playing the lead role in New Balance's latest campaign, which was shot by renowned photographer Ewen Spencer, who has been at the forefront of documenting youth subcultures in Great Britain since the late 1990s.
The campaign, which consists of photos and an accompanying film under the creative direction of Elliot Elder and George Muncy from award-winning Studio Uncanny, captures the versatility of the New Balance 1000 and explores the connections between culture, style and individuality.
The new edition of the New Balance 1000 pays homage to its futuristic roots from the turn of the millennium and fits seamlessly into the modern sneaker scene. With its unmistakable look, the 1000 is decidedly untraditional.
The 1000 stands out from the crowd and comes with a streamlined silhouette, distinctive overlay panels, a segmented, shaped sole, and nylon eyelets.
The 1000 Reissue redefines everyday style and retains its futuristic silver metallic overlay with mesh, which has been positioned on ABZORB heel and forefoot cushioning.
In the midfoot area, a stability net provides comfort and support, while the “N” logo with raised TPU rubber provides extra durability. To provide a secure fit, the 1000's shaft has an inner foam heel pad.
The New Balance 1000 will be available from April 24 at the following sneaker stores: AFEW Store, Asphaltgold, HHV and VooStore.
