‍
An allusion to the outdoor roots of KEEN and Hiking Patrol.
‍
‍
The “Cuban Tree Frog” (Osteopilus septentrionalis) is the largest tree frog species in North America and is originally from Cuba, the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands. However, it has also gained a foothold in other parts of the world, including the southern USA.
‍
‍
The “Phantasmal Poison Frog” (Epipedobates tricolor) is one of the many poisonous frog species that are native to the rainforests of South America.
This small, strikingly colored frog has some interesting features and facts that make it special.
‍
‍
It has a striking reddish orange color scheme with stripes that help it deter predators by signaling its toxicity. Like other arrow frogs, the Phantasmal Poison Frog produces a potent poison that it uses to ward off predators.
