The GEL-KAYANO 14 is the first collaboration between ASICS and JJJJound.
JJJJound was originally launched in 2006 as a “digital mood board” that explores recurring patterns in design.
Over the next decade, JJJJound evolved beyond the confines of the Internet and became tangible through collaboration with artists and brands that share their strong design ethics.

In an effort to continue developing products with this vision, ASICS opened the Research Institute of Sports Science in Kobe.
Since then, many remarkable technological innovations in athletic shoes and apparel have emerged from this unique place where scientists, athletes, and coaches work together.

With a shared passion for research and development, the opportunity to collaborate was obvious. Together, ASICS and JJJJound have reinterpreted the retro silhouette of the GEL-KAYANO-14 with its aesthetics heavily inspired by the 2000s.

Performance has been improved with updated materials and components, while maintaining the signature design elements of this style.

The result is presented in two color variants, which consist of white mesh, silver metallic overlays and embossed details. The silhouette is interspersed with co-branded elements and reflective accents that remain true to the model's design language.
