adidas Originals x JJJJound Samba OG Core Black, Core White & Mesa

A meeting of experts: adidas Originals and Montreal-based design studio JJJJound are launching their new collaboration this month with two versions of the legendary samba produced at the Scheinfeld factory of Mark with the three stripes are manufactured in Germany.

Inspired by shared values, the design studio brings its unique perspective on one of Trefoil's most famous silhouettes in the first collection.

Launched as a digital mood board by Justin R. Saunders in 2006, JJJJound has built a reputation for almost two decades as Culture's Timeless Tastemaker acquired.

‍

‍

The Montreal-based platform has developed into a collaborative studio whose goal is to inspire far beyond the design community.

‍

‍

In typical JJJOUND fashion, the signature Samba sneaker gets a premium leather update in two color variants — black with white stripes and white with black stripes.

‍

‍

Each pair is crafted with the highest level of attention to detail and is enhanced with carefully thought-out details such as branded insoles and custom vintage pendants.

‍

‍

Each pair is made at the adidas factory in Scheinfeld by dedicated craftsmen and delivered in a co-branded box and with special tissue paper to underline the spirit of craftsmanship that symbolizes the work of the Montreal collective.

‍

The launch of the two Samba sneakers is accompanied by a carefully thought-out campaign that pays homage to those who have turned the concept of collaboration into reality.

In a series of pictures and films behind the scenes, the craftsmanship of the Scheinfeld factory is brought into focus.

The first release from the adidas Originals by JJJJound partnership is a story of craft and authenticity and will be released on March 27.

The black color variant will be available exclusively on JJJJound.com. For spring/summer 2024, the adidas x JJJJound Samba OG (Mesa/Mesa Gum - ID8709) should also be brown.
