Launched in 2014, 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of Spezial.

To ring in this anniversary, Gary Aspden and the Three Stripes are setting course on the label's past, present and future. Her latest collection tells the timeless story of adidas' design DNA.

The range of models comprises seven unique silhouettes.

First, the Gazelle SPZL returns from the fall-winter 2023 range in two variants: one in all-black with a suede upper (which is a nod to the Pulsebeat SPZL) and the other in a chalk-white denim upper with subtly contrasting white stripes.

‍

Next up are three new additions to the Spezial running series. The Whitworth SPZL is inspired by many 80s running shoes and has a color that is based on the old adidas Clipper. It is made from a suede, nylon and mesh upper with reflective accents on the heel and tongue.

‍

The Handball Pro SPZL refers to the upper material of a lesser-known Adidas handball silhouette discovered by Gary Aspden.

‍

‍

The upper material has been reworked on a rubber sole and presented in a classic blue color, which is often found in indoor sports shoes.

‍

‍

‍

The Moston Super SPZL, which rounds off the range of completely new sneakers, is inspired by the adidas Artic from the mid-70s and has a green suede upper with rich green stripes and contrasting stitching.

‍

The selection of shoes is completed by the return of two classic Spezial silhouettes.

The cult favorite Wensley SPZL was first released in 2017 and features an asymmetrical upper with nylon backing and hairy suede overlays.

To mark the label's 10th anniversary, the silhouette is getting a new light brown color and a redesigned padded tongue. The Adilette SPZL, on the other hand, gives the classic slip-on look the identity of Spezial.

The adidas Spezial spring/summer 2024 collection features not only shoes but also clothing and accessories. The collection is led by the already iconic Todmorden Smock Jacket.

It was first presented in spring/summer 2021 and sold out immediately. This season, the coveted model returns in two color variants: navy blue and white. A Mod Trefoil 10th anniversary t-shirt brings the Spezial spirit to life as a certified collector's item.

Two lightweight jackets - the Trentham and the Wingrove - are perfect for spring,

‍

while the matching Angelzarke training top and training pants come with the typical Spezial details.

The range of clothing is rounded off by the Rossendale Short,

two polo shirts and

‍

‍

‍

the Lytham t-shirt.

The range of accessories includes the Brinscall bag,

a Mod Trefoil cap,

a double pack of socks and

a Mod Trefoil towel.

This drop (the first chapter of a series that will run through the rest of the year) is brought to life by a campaign film featuring actor and musician Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Bulletproof).
