The Have a Good Time x adidas Samba—A Classic with New Details
Have a Good Time and adidas Originals have collaborated on the Samba. With the HAGT x adidas Samba, they’re introducing a version of the indoor classic that differs from the OG mainly in its details but otherwise retains the familiar silhouette.
The Samba is an absolute icon among adidas models. This indoor soccer classic dates back to the early days of adidas; the Samba has been part of the Herzogenaurach-based brand’s portfolio since 1949 (!) and is an integral part of various subcultures.
No wonder it’s one of the most successful sneaker models of all time. That makes it all the more unfortunate that there are only a handful of collaborations and special editions of the Samba.
The Japanese brand “Have a Good Time” is now taking on this classic. Overall, however, HAGT hasn’t made many changes to the original in its version.
The sneaker is still made of black leather—classic, with the prominent three adidas stripes and the gold “Samba” print.
The HAGT details are limited to a logo print on the tongue and a matching all-over logo-print lining.
The Have a Good Time x adidas Samba isn’t exactly a model that immediately catches the eye.
But the details are what make this release special.
The adidas Originals x Have A Good Time Samba was released on October 25, 2018. It’s now only available on the secondary sneaker market, such as eBay, KLEKT, or StockX.
