This season, adidas Originals and Wales Bonner are continuing their ongoing cooperation with the spring/summer 2023 collection.

The British designer is looking to the Caribbean to explore the continued presence of Trefoil in Jamaican culture.

The latest unisex collection reinterprets vintage silhouettes through high-quality material compositions and refreshing color palettes.

‍

Inspired by the country's breathtaking scenery and surroundings, the collection features a matching light green nylon tracksuit, a signature knitted tracksuit,

‍

‍

an eye-catching silver anorak with matching shorts and

‍

‍

the introduction of a Jamaican icon in the form of a Harrington jacket and batted pants set.

‍

‍

Other highlights include a terry top and shorts,

‍

‍

‍

a geometric knitted turtleneck sweater,

‍

‍

a knitted vest, neutral sweatpants and

‍

‍

two colorful, short-sleeved cotton T-shirts.

‍

When it comes to shoes, Wales Bonner has reinterpreted two archived Adidas classics. The WB Samba returns in two different versions: one in a neutral color palette with a nubuck and leather stripe upper, the other

‍

with a silver leather upper and crocheted stripes.

‍

‍

‍

With the WB SL72 Knit, the British designer is recontextualizing the adidas retro running shoe with a knitted upper and

‍

‍

presents it in two different colors,

‍

‍

which pay homage to Jamaican culture.

‍

The photo and direction duo Jalan and Jibril Durimel brought the collection to life with a campaign that expands the visual language of previous seasons and tells a celebratory story of people, places and home.

‍

The pictures and the short film bring the spirit of Jamaica to life by crossing the “Land of Wood and Water” and telling a story full of expression and style.

‍

‍

Tom Guinness — a renowned British talent and long-time employee of Wales Bonner — designed the campaign. He mixes traditional portraits with dreamlike documentary images and highlights the intersection of location and cultural identity.

‍

‍

The pictures focus on nature and people and convey a sense of freedom, community and belonging.
