Born from friendship: the VEJA x Homecore sandal, created by Alexandre of Homecore and Sébastien and Ghislain of VEJA.

They first met at the “Who’s Next” fashion fair in 2005, right at the beginning of VEJA’s journey. After a long day filled with conversations, Sébastien and Ghislain were sitting at their stand, exhausted — a cigarette in hand — when suddenly, a tall, bald man approached and shouted:

“You hypocrites! You're working on an environmental project, I’ve heard you're doing amazing things in Brazil — and yet you SMOKE CIGARETTES?! Shame on you!”

The two VEJA founders burst out laughing and invited the unexpected visitor to join them for a conversation about cigarettes, organic cotton, and sustainability.

That day marked the beginning of their friendship with Alex.

Since then, they've traveled the world together and shared countless adventures. Nearly 20 years later, they decided to create something together — and that’s how it all led to one thing: a sandal.

Alex, founder of Homecore, had a clear vision: an anatomically shaped sandal where the design follows the foot — not the other way around.

Inspired by Anatomica, he believes that in product design, the shape of the foot should take precedence over the shape of the shoe.

This philosophy aligns perfectly with Homecore’s approach, which puts well-being and bodily harmony at the center of everything they create.

The VEJA x Homecore ANATOMICA sandal was developed with exactly this spirit in mind — to offer maximum freedom of movement and natural comfort. The unisex sandal comes in sizes 36 to 46 and will be available in stores starting June 19.
