Following the successful collaboration with La Marzocco – the Italian manufacturer of premium espresso machines – Asphaltgold announces its next partnership: Salomon and Asphaltgold are launching the XT-4 Transit together.

The footwear collaboration will be released in-store in Frankfurt and Darmstadt on July 26, before becoming available online exclusively at Asphaltgold on August 2, 2025.

With partners such as ASICS, Puma, Reebok, and most recently Veja, Asphaltgold has already established itself as a strong player in the world of footwear collaborations.

With Salomon, Asphaltgold is now making a bold new statement – marking the first time the French brand has collaborated with a German retailer. The foundation of the collaboration is the XT-4 silhouette, celebrated for its progressive design and functional strength.

The result is a sneaker that moves effortlessly between urban life and nature – a versatile travel essential with a strong sense of identity.

With this collaboration, Asphaltgold once again builds a bridge to its new location in Frankfurt – one of the world’s most important international airports and a hub for curious minds, cosmopolitans, and globetrotters – placing the concept of travel at the very heart of the design.

Asphaltgold’s version of the XT-4 comes in a neutral light grey that’s easy to style, making the silhouette ideal for travel and perfectly aligned with contemporary luggage aesthetics.

Silver accents evoke the clean, metallic aesthetic of modern airports, while the dynamic wave pattern on the upper captures light reflections – reminiscent of glass facades at airport gates or sunlight streaming through the cabin during landing.

The XT-4 features “ARRIVAL” and “DEPARTURE” on the tongue tags – a direct nod to the theme of travel.

The release of the Salomon x Asphaltgold XT-4 Transit will be celebrated on July 26, 2025, with a pre-release event at the Frankfurt store, ahead of the official online launch on August 2, 2025.

The installation will remain on view at the Asphaltgold Store in Frankfurt until August 4, 2025, offering all visitors the chance to dive deeper into the world of the collaboration – where design, function, and progressive footwear intersect.
