Vans and the New York-based label Collina Strada are presenting a footwear, apparel, and accessories collection for the Spring 2023 season. The collection reflects Collina Strada’s vibe of playful expression.
Each piece exudes individuality and positivity. Core patterns from the Collina Strada universe—such as butterflies, drawings, and psychedelic motifs—define the collection and allow wearers to stand out and mix and match a variety of styles.
“I grew up in Southern California and have worn Vans my whole life,” says Hillary Taymour, Creative Director and founder of Collina Strada. “I wore slip-ons while skateboarding and hanging out at the barn, so it’s a huge honor to design a collection with the brand.”
The Sk8-Hi 38 DX is the key piece, featuring an abstract butterfly print on the upper and a print on the side.
Other styles include the Classic Slip-On 98 DX, featuring hand-drawn artwork depicting fields of flowers and an idyllic neighborhood scene.
For the collection’s print, Taymour invited employees and visitors at the Collina Strada Studio to draw their dream homes.
The Old Skool Vibram DX is an update to the classic silhouette. It stands out with an oversized Vibram outsole in a metallic Citronelle colorway.
The Old Skool Vibram DX is available in a Sweet Lilac colorway.
Imagination also takes center stage in the Vans x Collina Strada apparel and accessories. A key look in the collection is the hoodie and sweatpants set with playful details and
a woven shirt,
T-shirt, and socks in the Sweet Lilac colorway round out the collection.
The collaboration is rounded out by a backpack featuring illustrations of houses.
The Collina Strada community is reflected in the Vans x Collina Strada campaign, which is staged amidst piglets to illustrate Collina Strada’s perspective on the connection between humans and animals.
Vans x Collina Strada will make its debut at New York Fashion Week during the designer’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway show on February 10.
