Vans and Hockey are bringing back the AVE Classic. Originally shaped by Anthony Van Engelens’ uncompromising approach to skateboarding, the model has been reimagined for this reissue with modern skate technologies, high-quality materials, and Hockey’s unmistakably rugged aesthetic.
The Vans AVE Classic by Hockey has been stripped down to its essential elements and consistently engineered for performance. Proven Vans technologies are designed to make the shoe resistant to impacts, abrasion, and long sessions.
DURACAP underlays reinforce high-stress areas, while POPCUSH insoles provide superior cushioning without compromising board feel. Underfoot, SickStick Rubber and the signature Waffle Sole deliver grip and control.
The design draws on details from the model’s original history while also evolving them. A leather upper is paired with custom co-branding on the footbed and hockey-specific artwork.
The Vans AVE Classic by Hockey is available in two exclusive colorways that combine a minimalist design with an aggressive character. The shoe was designed to be skated hard and to develop a unique patina over time.
