The “Stage Dives” collection from SauconySneaks pays homage to the hardcore punk scene. It was inspired by DIY culture and the electrifying energy of live concerts. Rainer Imhoff, founder of the SauconySneaks community, combines his passion for sneakers and music in this project.
Rainer Imhoff is a dedicated sneaker collector and the founder of the Instagram community @SauconySneaks, which has over 81,000 followers.
He has been fascinated by Saucony sneakers since 2011—especially because of their presence in the hardcore punk scene. In addition to his enthusiasm for fashion and music, he works as a special education teacher and is deeply committed to social inclusion.

Hardcore punk emerged in the late 1970s as an aggressive evolution of punk rock and is characterized by fast tempos, raw energy, and socially critical lyrics. Influential bands like Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Youth of Today continue to shape the genre to this day. We’ve included links to a few bands at the end of the article.

Many hardcore fans are vegan to take a stand against the exploitation of animals. All materials used in this sneaker are vegan, promoting conscious and sustainable consumption. In the fashion world, band T-shirts, cargo pants, caps, and sneakers are central elements.
The design concept is based on a carefully considered color palette: gray stands for minimalism and understatement, while orange, burgundy, and purple evoke the typical colors of band T-shirts. Olive and sand represent the cargo pants worn by many hardcore fans.

Additional details include “Stage Dives” embroidery on the heel, an insole print featuring a concert scene, mesh, vegan suede, faux suede, and synthetic leather. A rubber outsole ensures long-lasting grip—both on stage and in everyday life. The exclusive sneaker box features a concert scene.

The “Stage Dives” edition of the Saucony Shadow 6000 is a strictly limited special release and makes a clear statement in support of hardcore punk, vegan fashion, and creative self-expression.

“Hardcore has profoundly shaped my style and my outlook on life. From my decision to live a vegan lifestyle to my work as a special education teacher—the global hardcore punk scene has influenced me in countless ways. In my interpretation of the Shadow 6000, I wanted to create a shoe that perfectly complements the classic hardcore outfit and is built for both stage dives and intense moshing. The design draws its inspiration from my deep connection to the hardcore punk scene.”
