With the RX-ENRO UCHI, Salomon and UCHI continue their shared exploration of nature, everyday life, and functionality.

Since 2024, the partnership has already included two community events as well as the RX SLIDE 3.0 UCHI, which was unveiled in Kyoto in 2025.

The new RX-ENRO UCHI now marks the fourth joint project between Salomon and UCHI, and the first global release of their collaboration.

Inspired by the philosophy of Japanese gardens, the RX-ENRO UCHI brings together minimalist design, a sense of calm, and a close connection to nature within everyday life.

“ENRO” is more than just part of the model name: the term also represents the connections between people and the paths that continue into the future.

The gentle color gradient of the mesh upper, shifting from green to brown, reflects the idea of natural change.

It gives the shoe the feeling of something that is not meant to stay untouched, but to develop its own patina over time: on an engawa, the traditional Japanese veranda between house and garden, while walking through the garden, or during quiet moments in the sun.

The structured suede mudguard reinforces this natural impression and adds further depth to the design.

The campaign images were photographed by Kisshomaru Shimamura, who also captured the RX SLIDE 3.0 UCHI. Guided by the ideas of “the repetition of everyday life” and “the quiet beauty of functionality within daily living,” the visuals place the shoe within subtle gestures, quiet routines, and moments close to nature.

UCHI’s creative approach is central to the project. Ryunosuke Uchida is a Tokyo-based creative director and community curator working across fashion, design, and culture. His work reflects a minimalist, artisanal vision, deeply connected to nature, local craftsmanship, and community.

The Salomon RX-ENRO UCHI will be released in Deep Lichen Green / Black Olive / Walnut on June 11th and will be available at the following retailers: AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN and HHV.
