Dekmantel, the institution for electronic music, and Salomon SportStyle announce their first collaboration: Inspired by the energy that dancers from around the world bring to the Amsterdam forest each year, Dekmantel and Salomon have developed the ultimate unisex shoe for the festival environment.
The design of the new XT-4 OG, which combines Dekmantel’s raw and organic aesthetic with Salomon’s best performance features, is built to withstand any terrain and weather conditions.
Since the first edition of the Dekmantel Festival in 2013, more than 15,000 dancers have gathered each year in the Amsterdam Woods to experience electronic music in the most adventurous of settings.
From vast meadows to monumental trees in a rich palette of colors, Dekmantel fully integrates the magic of the Amsterdam Forest into its immersive festival experience.
This magic now also serves as the inspiration for the Dekmantel x Salomon XT-4 OG.
The outstanding design by artist Michael Willis, created in collaboration with the Salomon design team, captures the color palette and atmosphere of the Amsterdam Forest and pays homage to the most important aspect of the Dekmantel Festival: the dancers.
Furthermore, the forward-thinking design underscores Dekmantel’s new creative direction and perfectly aligns with the festival’s new identity for 2023.
As always, the Salomon XT-4 OG features a sturdy, full-length Agile Chassis Skeleton, a soft dual-density midsole, and a 10-millimeter drop.
This XT-4 OG features a color palette consisting almost exclusively of earth tones—ranging from deep moss and water lily green to dark earth brown—with bright yet subtle accents of white, “Safety Yellow,” and “Transcend Blue.”
Beyond the physical, this special collaboration symbolizes the union of two interdisciplinary visions; just as Salomon pushes the boundaries of sports, Dekmantel does the same in the electronic music scene.
The limited-edition Salomon XT-4 OG for Dekmantel Style will be available at VooStore on July 28 and celebrated with a release party.
