Salomon and A-COLD-WALL* present their first collaboration. The focus is on the ACS PRO A-COLD-WALL*, which combines Salomon’s technical expertise with the London-based label’s industrial-inspired design language.
For this collaboration, the ACS PRO has been reimagined with a striking, architectural silhouette. Salomon’s heritage of performance meets A-COLD-WALL*’s conceptual approach, in which construction, materials, and visible signs of wear play a central role.
The collection examines Salomon through the lens of post-industrial Britain, where tradition and innovation, as well as individuality and community, converge.
This tension also forms the basis of the accompanying campaign featuring Shabaka Hutchings and Reek0 in Central London.
Shabaka Hutchings is one of the most influential contemporary musicians in the UK. In his work, he blends jazz, electronic music, and spiritual and diasporic traditions into a unique musical language.
Most recently, he has focused increasingly on the flute, incorporating influences from Japan, America, and other cultural contexts.
Tottenham-born artist Reek0 is part of the Brighter Days Collective. His music combines personal stories and everyday observations with complex lyrics and a laid-back flow. In this way, he represents a new generation of voices from London’s cultural scene.
As the campaign unfolds, the paths of Shabaka Hutchings and Reek0 increasingly converge. From their initial contrast emerges a connection that illustrates how different creative worlds can come together through curiosity, exchange, and shared expression.
The design of the ACS PRO A-COLD-WALL* puts the shoe’s construction front and center. Individual panels, seams, and layers are deliberately left visible, emphasizing the silhouette’s technical build. Subtle signs of wear give the model an additional raw, pre-worn character.
A floating-effect cage construction meets an asymmetrical lacing system, creating a striking shape. Worn eyelets, a grainy-textured midsole, and geometric details underscore the deconstructed, post-industrial aesthetic. The rugged upper is made of Matryx Kevlar Mesh and combines light weight with stability and high durability.
