Reebok and Tobe Nwigwe present the “Reebok x Chukwu” collection, which will be available at select stores from February 21.

This multi-seasonal collaboration combines Nwigwe's distinctive creative vision with the brand's sporting heritage. The partnership explores his innovative approach to fashion and storytelling and combines his personal style with Reebok's tradition of performance-oriented design.

“This is monumental — it’s my first time designing a shoe and an apparel capsule with a major brand, and I’m creating something that truly reflects my style, vision, and perspective,” said Nwigwe.

For their debut collection “The Preseason,” Nwigwe and Reebok have reinterpreted iconic silhouettes. The highlight of the launch is “The Chukwu OTU”, a distinctive reinterpretation of Reebok Preseason Turf Trainers.

‍

“I chose the Preseason to be my first shoe because it’s an immaculate silhouette—simple, yet iconic,” added Nwigwe. “The Preseason represents hard work and excellence, and it felt like the perfect shoe to launch my own journey.”

The Chukwu OTU features a completely new upper with a mix of textile, rough suede and nubuck leather, which forms a series of uniquely curved overlays that add depth and dynamism.

‍

The design combines archival aesthetics with modern flair. OTU (“one” in Igbo) honors Nwigwe's Nigerian-American roots and quest for greatness.

‍

“The OTU reflects my dual identity—being African American, first-generation American, and deeply connected to my Nigerian heritage. It’s more than a name; it’s the blending of cultures and values that shape who I am,” added Nwigwe. The Chukwu OTU will be available in April.

Nwigwe remembered the nostalgia of his time as a college football player and his love for the game, which is reflected in the silhouettes and textures often found on the field. In addition to the Chukwu OTU, the unisex collection includes apparel pieces inspired by the game, including:

The official launch of “Reebok x Chukwu”, the “Preseason OTU”, starts on February 21 at selected retailers, with further chapters of comprehensive cooperation over the course of 2025.
