Rihanna's well-known Creeper is finally back. But this time it's bigger and more unusual than before.
‍
‍
The Creeper Phatty, designed by Rihanna, stands out from the classic model with its chunky design and bold color accents and is available in three color combinations for all ages.
‍
‍
Rihanna's vision was to revive the Creeper in a bold way. The original silhouette came out in September 2015 and was a platform version of Puma's suede.
‍
‍
The model was developed in 2016 by Footwear News named Shoe of the Year and has driven the sports brand's success in recent years.
‍
‍
The outer material of the Crepper Phatty is made of suede and the shoe tongue features an embossed Fenty logo. The shoe features laces with golden eyelets, a padded shape strip and a layered rubber sole.
‍
‍
The Creeper is available in three different colors: in black and white, in bright blue and green, and in lavender and cherry red.
‍
‍
“We Took Our OG Creeper and Made It Bigger and Badder,” Rihanna says. “When we created Creeper Phatty, we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper that was loved by so many. It's a classic silhouette that everyone missed, so we had to make a comeback.”
‍
‍
The second FENTY x PUMA campaign, with Rihanna as creative director, was photographed by Philippa Price. She previously worked for both the musician and PUMA and in the campaign highlights the oversized and bright elements of the shoe.
‍
‍
“The original Creeper changed the sneaker game for us,” says Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer at PUMA.
“We knew it was time to revive him. This shoe has universal appeal and we felt great expectations about the return of the silhouette. We are pleased that with the Creeper Phatty, we can not only build on the existing model, but also expand our offering for the whole family.”
‍
‍
The FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty will be available from December 1, 2023 at 43 and a half, AFEW Store, Allike, Asphaltgold, Fortytree, GlĂĽckstreter, HHV, Orange Jungle and SUPPA.
