Cinelli, the Milan-based cycling company that is redefining the limits of performance, and Oakley, known for 50 years of innovation in sports culture, present their first joint collaboration that turns cycling into a journey of discovery.

The Cinelli x Oakley Latch Panel and Eye Jacket Redux glasses feature a “race worn” design inspired by the dedication, passion and exhaustion of cycling. This distressed look is created by a special tumbler process, which gives each pair of glasses unique scratches — making every execution unique, just like every trip.

With a shared tradition in the renowned Grand Tours of cycling, the Cinelli x Oakley collection embodies a protopic vision of the future of cycling — one that places creativity and joy above competition.

This idea is embodied by Taylor Phinney, the former professional cyclist whose relationship with cycling has changed from performance-oriented perfection to a deeper connection with nature and exploration.

“The bike is just a toy. A toy for children or adults. The more we ride, the more we grow and the more comfortable we become in our pursuit of flow,” says Taylor Phinney.

“The paths we trace in the earth begin to hold a dear place within us and we move beyond merely cutting weight and chasing power numbers. Instead, we transform into one with our bicycles and through this machine, we progress towards a protopia.”

Designed for versatile adventures, the Cinelli x Oakley Latch Panel features a borderless shield design with a signature latch hinge and removable side plates that reduce glare and distractions. The distinctive black “Race Worn” color scheme is combined with Prizm Road Black lenses, which improve contrast on road surfaces.

For off-road adventures, the Cinelli x Oakley Eye Jacket Redux is the perfect companion. The distinctive, familiar silhouette gets a rebellious Cinelli touch with a creamy white “Race Worn” color scheme and Prizm Grey lenses. Both models are delivered in a special microfiber bag and with individually designed packaging.

“Race worn is a symbolic process representing the journey. Every individual goes through their own journey. And each journey is different. The Race Worn process is crafted by hand where no two are exactly alike. Very similar to the human race,” explains Brian Takumi, Vice President of Creative and Soul at Oakley.

In addition to the eyewear collection, the collaboration includes the exclusive Race Worn Nemo Gravel Bike, which is not for sale. It was built by hand at Cinelli's Milan headquarters and represents Oakley's off-grid philosophy.
