The revised Vomero 5 is based on 2000s nostalgia, versatility and suitability for everyday use. It is now available in kids' sizes and new colors. As a weatherproof version, the new Vomero Roam offers additional protection and traction for year-round use.
True to its roots in performance running, which dates back to its launch in 2011, the Vomero 5 uses a Zoom Air cushioning system in the heel to provide exceptional comfort.
Vents keep the silhouette lightweight and breathable, and a synthetic leather and mesh TecTuff upper creates a multi-layered look that's built to last. The introduction of new statement colors and neutral shades in the Vomero 5 range offers even more styling options.
Launched this fall, the children's model of the Vomero 5 features small design changes for a child-friendly fit, such as a more durable rubber outsole material, improved sock lining, and pull straps that make it easier to put on the shoe.
“The Vomero 5 is very comfy. It gives this retro vibe,” says Nike athlete and UConn guard Paige Bueckers. “A lot of the shoes that I’ve been wearing since I was little have the same look and feel, so it gives me something different. I love the colorways, I love the feel, I love the look. ”
The Vomero Roam is the latest weatherproof model in the Nike Roam collection, which consists of functional, simple and stylish sneakers that are suitable for all seasons.
The shoe is designed for comfort and function. The simple upper material is complemented by eye-catching details, and the raised heel provides good support.
The smooth leather is water-repellent and the thermal lining with closed seams provides good thermal insulation. Versatile colors and modern color accents give the Vomero Roam range a fashionable touch. Both models show how popular the combination of style and functionality is when running.
The Vomero 5 was originally developed for performance running but adapted for streetwear and lifestyle in 2018. Nike worked with British designer Samuel Ross to redesign the shoe and combine nostalgic design elements with popular performance features.
The redesigned Vomero 5 became increasingly popular with sneaker fans and contributed to the comeback of the retro running trend, which accelerated during the pandemic when comfort became more important. Nike further developed the Vomero and released new sports models, inspired by the brand's long history.
The Nike Vomero 5 is available at selected retailers such as 43einhalb, AFEW-Store and Asphaltgold. The Nike Vomero Roam will be released on November 1.
