For years, Mizuno’s Wave Prophecy technology has stood for functional beauty, showing how performance expertise can move naturally into the lifestyle space.
The Wave Prophecy Ring Moc Setsumasa Kobayashi continues this approach with a moccasin-inspired silhouette.

Setsumasa Kobayashi founded General Research in 1994 and, from the 2000s onward, helped shape the intersection of Japanese outdoor culture, design, and fashion through Mountain Research.
In 2007, his collaboration with Mizuno resulted in the Infinity Moc, a progressive design that brought the technical logic of a performance brand into a classic moccasin silhouette.

The new Wave Prophecy Ring Moc builds on this foundation, not as a simple re-release, but as a contemporary interpretation of Mizuno Sportstyle.

The model features a classic moccasin upper. Beneath it sits the distinctive Wave Prophecy sole with its open construction, providing stability and cushioning while reducing long-term midsole wear.
The design is complemented by an internal construction derived from the Sky Medal, a ring-shaped midfoot strap, and a two-layer combination of suede upper and mesh inner. What appears calm and minimalist on the outside follows a clear athletic logic beneath the surface.
