Some days just feel right, without there necessarily being a specific reason why. It’s exactly this feeling that forms the basis for “Today Was A Good Day,” the joint collaboration between AFEW STORE and Brooks based on the Adrenaline GTS 10.
The release taps into a very specific kind of nostalgia: a day you don’t want to explain, but simply want to experience.
This feeling runs through the entire shoe, from the choice of materials to the colorway and the interplay of individual details.
The upper is made of synthetic mesh and features a soft color gradient from Fig to Bridal Rose. Metallic synthetic leather and hairy suede on the heel and outer side add depth and texture. Patent leather details provide subtle accents of shine without overwhelming the design.
The collaboration’s unique elements are evident in features such as a 3D gel emblem on the outer side, custom-designed tongue labels, and shared branding on the heel, which draws inspiration from the GO2 Series’ aesthetic.
Three different lacing options also allow wearers to customize the shoe’s look.
The color palette combines Bridal Rose, High Risk Red, Fiery Coral, Vanilla Ice, Cloud Dancer, and Fig into a warm, multi-layered colorway that captures the spirit of the entire project.
Beneath the upper, the Adrenaline GTS 10 remains true to its functional roots. DNA LOFT provides soft cushioning, while the GuideRails Support System offers additional stability.
In this way, the collaboration combines its nostalgic aesthetic with the performance characteristics of the original silhouette.
